Breath Of Fire 2 Super Nintendo Cheats

Easy Money
Talk to the priest that saves the game and ask to give a donation. If you have less than 100 coins he will give you 10 coins until you reach 100 coins. After this happens, deposit the coins, return and repeat as needed. Note: If you try to have the priest give you more than 100 coins he will take them as a donation.

Starbringer Sword
The StarBringer Sword can be found by standing on a blue "chance" square in the Thieves' Tomb and fighting repeatedly.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hint: Easy money:
Talk to the priest that saves the game and ask to give a donation. If you have less than 100 coins he will give you 10 coins until you reach 100 coins. After this happens, deposit the coins, return and repeat as needed. Note: If you try to have the priest give you more than 100 coins he will take them as a donation.

Hint: Rest for free:
Early in the game in the pub in the second town, you can rest for free. Talk to the person at the table and ask him to pass the time while it is day. You will be healed fully. You can do this until you get Katt.

Hint: Life Armor:
The Life Armor can be found in the fishing spot northwest of Gate, directly next to the cave. This is the strongest armor in the game for the Hero.

Hint: Life Bracelet:
Immediately after you fight Barubary with Ryu alone, he gives you a hint to find the Life Bracelet. Go directly right with Katt and smash the rock ahead. Continue right and reach across the gap with Sten, then open the treasure box to find the Life Bracelet.

Hint: StarBringer Sword:
The StarBringer Sword (StarrSD) can be found by standing on a blue "chance" square in the Thieves' Tomb and fighting repeatedly.

Hint: Finding Bleu:
On the same island as the Thieves Tomb go there. From the Thieves Tomb, go east until you reach the other side of the mountain line. You should see a little whirlwind shape in the sand. Enter here and talk to all the spirits, even the ones in the back rooms. After that, go to Magic school in Hometown and on the second floor talk to the girl on the left in the left classroom. She will turn into Bleu.

After you get the whale, go to the desert at the southeast corner of map. Walk around until you find a faint circle. When you enter it, you will find some ghosts saying Bleu is out. Then, go to the town where you started your game (after you go away, the second town where you and Bow end up). Go to the magic building and talk to all the students. One will say she is Bleu and join you. Bleu starts at level 35 and is very powerful with magic.

Hint: Fun with Bleu:
After you get Bleu as a party member, go to township and make sure she is not in your active party. Go to her room, which on the last floor and final room. She is sleeping. When you talk to her, she mumbles about Ryu and goes back to sleep.

Hint: Finding Ryu's father:
You can find your father in the Grand Church. His father is the man that is connected to the machine in the Grand Church. When you fight him, do not kill him when he tells you to. Kill all three of the eyes around him, but do not kill him. Do not even hit him. If you do not kill him, he will be alive and free from the machine that was sending his energy to the Demon Deathevn. After you defeat the three eyes around him, he will fall out and will transport you to your town. You will then go down to a basement with machinery. You will have to find the girl in Guntz behind the books. You can then make your town fly.

Hint: Namada's Strength:
Boombada is a powerful Non-Elemental attack, which at 50 AP will reduce any enemy group, short of Bosses, by 50% of the current enemies' HP. However getting this attack is not easy and requires strict timing and rhythm. To get this powerful attack go to Namada after the Grand Chruch at Evari is destroyed. Help the brother at the bells ring to announce prayer time. This is where it gets difficult, as some of the notes of the music sound overlapped but they are not. The brother will ring the high notes and low notes as you ring the Drum (A) and Tuning Fork (B). It sounds complex, but is not. The scale is similar to:

- = High note
_ = Low note
A = Drum
B = Tuning Fork
() = (space) No note played.
-A-B--()A _B_A__()B ___B_-AB _-_-A( )A

Listen carefully to the way the notes are played and to the starts and stops of the sounds. If done correctly, the brother will thank you for helping him and request that you talk to him again with the person who he will teach Namada's Strength to. It is recommended that Nina get this to fully round out her abilities.

Hint: Monster Island:
Once you have the whale or the great bird and are at least level 35, go to the top of the hunk of land where granny's house used to be. Go directly east. You should see an island at the top of the screen. Go there to reach Monster Island. There are four monsters on this island, as well as a house with Bo and Karn from Breath Of Fire. Use the following information to defeat the monsters that can be found here.

Gonghead: This is a giant version of the creature. Do not waste AP on it; just keep attacking. It casts Cure 4 each turn after the first, but runs out of AP quickly. It will only attack you twice at the most.
M. Sludge: Cast Death with either Bleu or Nina. It will kill it automatically.
Fly: This creature resembles an over-sized fly. If you have Chop Chop, use it. Otherwise, use a Dragon ability. Magic does not affect it.

Hint: Experience for final battle:
Just before the final Boss, where the Dragon Statue and Cleansing Water are located, fight any monster and use Gold Dragon. After that, use the Cleansing Water to restore your AP and HP and repeat until reaching the desired level. This can also be use near any Cleansing Water pools that are occupied by monsters.

Hint: Maximum attack:
There are a few things required to maximize your Attack stat. First, you need the Cafe (the place that you have a woman cook some of your items together to get a new item). This is done by choosing the correct carpenter for Township (your town). The requirement is the Whale, which you will get during the storyline. Go to Guntz, which is located slightly north of the center of the map. Go to the items shop and buy as many ShaveIce as possible, keeping them in multiples of four. Then, go back to the Cafe and have the lady cook a few PwrFood. These raise your attack by 1 point. When you run out of money, go just northwest of Township to the island where there is A Recovery Spring. Get more money there. Note: Sometimes the lady accidentally makes Charcoal instead of the PwrFood.

Hint: Finding the Fire, Thunder, and Ice Dragons:
You must wait until you have Jean in order to get these dragons. You will transform Jean into the big frog. There is now a pond of water with a waterfall directly over the restaurant. Go into the pond of water with the big frog and go down the waterfall. There will be a Wise Dragon Man waiting on Ryu. There are also two treasure chest in this secret place. Put Ryu in front and talk to the Wise Dragon Man. He will give you the three dragons. Note: It will be best if you do this as soon as you get Jean. Do not go into the castle until this is done.

Breath Of Fire Super Nintendo Cheats

Getting The Rod5
With the Sphere, you can also reach Tunlan. Fall down a pit to the left of the vault in the princess's house, then search the box to find the Rod5. This is used to fish at the wells.

Getting The Tri-Rang
The Tri-Rang can be found behind Pagoda after Nina learns how to fly, and before Pagoda has been activated. Search directly behind the twin towers of Pagoda to find it.

Getting The Emperor Sword
Check by the throne after defeating Jade to discover the Emperor Sword. Search the right hand pillar in the same room for the Star Hammer. Use this in combat to produce the Comet spell effect.

See Chun Li
When you visit Bleak, go to the boy who thinks he is a magician. He will say "Put a hundred coins on the table and I will make them disappear". Agree to his request and wait for him to say "Look behind you." Say "No" twice, then say "Yes". You should see Chun Li practicing her lightning kick.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chun Li cameo:
When you visit Bleak, go to the boy who thinks he is a magician. He will say "Put a hundred coins on the table and I will make them disappear". Agree to his request and wait for him to say "Look behind you." Say "No" twice, then say "Yes". You should see Chun Li practicing her lightning kick.

Hint: 9999 experience and 9999 gold:
Before battling Jade in Obelisk, he will ask you if you want to join him. Answer "Yes", and whenever he asks you if you want to change your mind, answer "No". Do not push any buttons and he will soon say, "I'm bored. Entertain me!". After this, there will be a battle scene. You will fight a D.Flea, a Crab, a Flower, a G.Slime, and finally an M.Slime which, when defeated, will give you 9999 experience and 9999 gold.

When Nina has fly go to Agua, go north. You will see a little island. Run around here and an M. Slime will eventually appear.

Hint: B-Rang:
Enter Krypt and go to the area where the B-Rang is stuck in a rock pile. Use Ox to break the big stone to obtain the broken B-Rang. Take it to a blacksmith in Gant to fix it.

Hint: C.Fish:
Go to the third Dragon Shrine and go west to a piece of land sticking out into the lake. Fish on the very end of it to catch a C.Fish.

Hint: D-Hrt (Dragon Heart):
This item can be found in Tunlan after the control panel in Scande.

Hint: Emperor sword:
Check by the throne after defeating Jade to discover the Emperor Sword. Search the right hand pillar in the same room for the Star Hammer. Use this in combat to produce the Comet spell effect.

Hint: I.Ore (Iron Ore):
The I.Ore is in a treasure chest in the cave the two warriors that join Nina are guarding.

Hint: Key:
This item can be obtained in Tantar during the storyline.

Hint: Map:
This item can be found when you enter Romero with Nina and the two warriors. First, go to the house next to the Elders. There should be a hole leading to a secret area in that house. Push the jars left or right in that area until you reach a barrel. Push the barrel up and press A to obtain the map.

Hint: Ring:
When equipped this item will raise the user's attack by ten. This item can be found during the storyline after you obtain the key to the cave that it is in.

Hint: Rod5:
With the Sphere, you can also reach Tunlan. Fall down a pit to the left of the vault in the princess's house, then search the box to find the Rod5. This is used to fish at the wells.

Hint: Saw:
This item can be obtained when you give the I.Ore to the blacksmith in Tantar.

Hint: Slab:
This item can be found in one of the four wells. The Rod5 and bait are required.

Hint: Tri-rang:
The Tri-Rang can be found behind Pagoda after Nina learns how to fly, and before Pagoda has been activated. Search directly behind the twin towers of Pagoda to find it.

Hint: WtrJr (Water Jar):
This item can be obtained in Romero during the storyline after Bo joins the party.

Hint: MystSD:
This sword can be found at the top of Tock (the tower near the Carmen town) behind the Time Key machine.

Hint: Karn: Locations to get Fusion spells:
Note: You need Karn to obtain them.

Bo and Gobi Fusion: Shin: Gant; enter the last house in the village. Go to the upright room ground level. Move the third chest and enter the new path. Note: This spell can only be used underwater.
Ox and Gobi Fusion: Debo: Gust; enter the Flutemaker's house and move the gray brick at the right.
Bo and Ox Fusion: Doof: Slightly far to the north of Camlon you find a digging spot with a dragon symbol. Use Mogu to enter.
Bo, Ox and Gobi Fusion: Puka: Bleak; enter the "Fortuneteller's" house and go to the upper left. Once there you will see a chest only Doof can move. Fuse Bo and Ox and move it.

Hint: Dragon temple locations:
Southeast of Tantar
South (and slightly west) of the passage where the men of Gant are/were being held. You need Dragon SD, which can be found in one of the wells.
North (and slightly west) of Gust. You need Nina's flying ability to enter.
Enter the Cleansing Water lake again with Gills. You cannot use this spell if you already have another Fusion in your party.

Hint: Wells:
Note: Ryu needs both bait and a good level Rod equipped.

West of Romero
Southwest of Arad
East of Gramor (surrounded by mountains so you will need Nina's flying ability)
Enter Spring and after you brought spring back, go in the water and then up until you reach stairs leading to a lake with some ducks.
Southeast of Winlan

Hint: Food:
Sometimes, in a house, you can see apples, fish or potatoes to eat. However, Gobi refuses to eat the fish.

Hint: Best weapons for Nina, Bo, Karn, Gobi, Ox, Bleu and Mogu:
Karn's DarkDR and Gobi's Sleeper: Go to Prima (the underwater hometown of Gobi) after you lose Nina in Tock and before you recruit her again in Tunlan. When you arrive at Prima, go into the middle area to the flea market (the shop that has three sellers and one counter that is empty). With Gobi in your party, put him in front of the line and have him go behind the empty counter. Press A and other citizens of Prima will come by and either buy from or sell some random items to Gobi. This will take awhile, but eventually someone will offer the DarkDR and Sleeper for sale, both of which are not too expensive.

Nina's PowerRP, Ox's Mallet and Bleu's GlowCN: Use the same method described above. The only difference, however, is that you can do this any time after getting Nina back in your party. Again, this will take a while, but eventually the PowerRP, Mallet and GlowCN will come up as items for sale. Again, these are not too expensive, but you should have a good amount of money on hand just in case.

Bo's HeroBW and Mogu's MystCW: Using Nina's flying ability, fly around the world in search of patches of dirt with a dragon-head shape/depression in them. Check East of Agua, North of Camlon, Southeast of Arad and North of Tock for these patches of dirt. When you find one, put Mogu at the front of your party and press A to have him dig into the patch of dirt. The entire party will fall into a hole that Mogu makes from digging there. You will then be in a secret room filled with various treasure chests. At two of the four locations listed, you will find Bo's HeroBW and Mogu's MystCW.

Hint: Defeating Frog:
To defeat this Boss easily, reach level 10 so you can fight it without using herbs constantly. It only has about 200 HP.

Hint: Defeating the Goddess of Destruction:
The first fight is easy. Just physically attack her until she is defeated.

This second fight is more difficult but is very short. Use Ryu's Agni power once or twice on her to finish this battle.

During the final fight use Ryu's Agni power and heal before his HP is below 400. Hit this Boss with Agni's power and it should die in under 30 hits.

Hint: Defeating Jade:
This is a very difficult fight if all of the characters' levels are below 30. Use Ryu's Rudra power and a Mrbl1 item on each of his turns. Do nothing except heal the defending characters with Nina. Cast only BoltX with Bleu, and physically attack with Karn's Puka transformation or use Ryu's Agni power and heal before his HP is below 300. Agni does 999 damage to every enemy with each hit.

Hint: Defeating Sara:
Your HP will be at one before the fight. Use CuraX or a Cure2 item before starting the battle. Use Ryu's Rudra Dragon Power, cast FortX with Nina, cast BoltX with Bleu (it does the same amount of damage as the Comet spell), and with Karn use the Puka simulated spell and just physically attack. After a few rounds of this attack pattern she should be defeated.

Hint: Defeating Zog:
Use a D-Hrt at the beginning of the battle with the first person to attack, then use a cure item on Ryu with the next person to attack (all the characters should be faster than Zog). Cast as many spells as you can with Bleu. It will not take that much to defeat him. Physically attack with everyone else.

Hint: Secret monsters:
When finding Jade in Obelisk, he will ask you to join him. Agree to his offer, then wait until he says "Entertain Me!". You will then enter a battle with a monster that cannot be found anywhere else. Repeat this process to fight a certain amount of extraordinary monsters such as Crawler, Ronk, M. Slime, Crab, Flower, G. Slime, and a D. Flea. Some monsters can be found in certain parts of the game. For example; the M. Slime can be found on the island where Pagoda is activated and the D. Flea can be found in the land near Scande (Obelisk after Pagoda has been destroyed).

Hint: Easy experience and arm strength:
Note: A controller with a turbo feature is required for this trick. Have a lot of Health Potions, or leave the area and rest. Find one or more enemy that can regenerate. Set the turbo feature to A and keep it active. You should gain at least seven levels or more in an hour.

Hint: Easy knowledge:
Note: You must have a lot of magic potions, or you can leave the area and rest. Find an enemy who can regenerate and shoot it with magic. Fire magic seems to work best.

Hint: Easy magic resistance:
Note: Have a lot of magic and health potions. You will only need the M Potions if you have Heal Magic. Find an enemy who can use magic, then just stand there and let them shoot you, but not kill you. Heal when needed.

If something strikes you while resting (when the screen is black after pressing L + R); it wakes you up and deals a lot of damage. If a magic attack strikes you so that your magic resistance rises substantially; about ten such strikes will raise your MR by one point. Make sure you are at a relatively high level before trying this. The technique is rather HP-intensive (when even a weak magic blast strikes Valik when sleeping and can deal 12 to 15 damage), so be careful.

Hint: Gaining levels:
You have to kill 100 enemies to go up a level.

Brain Lord Super Nintendo Cheats

Unlimited Fairy Experience
Use the Light Fairy to see, when in the ruins under the city. After getting the fairy, return to the first save location, then go right. Enter the first door from the save location. Go through the little room and go to the next door. Look out for the robots in this room, as the shield will not block their attacks, which do a lot of damage. Go after them at an angle. Use the fairy in the room after the robots. You should now be able to see a small blue square on the floor. Use the square to turn on the lights, then get on the small flying square. It allows you to travel over the electric floor without harm. There will be a few enemies in the room that will always have a ball that increases your fairy's experience by 50. This may be repeated as many times as needed.

Hint: Gate key:
You need the Fire Sword. Near the beginning is a room with a red "pig". In that room is a door with a ice block. Melt it to get the flood gate key. Then, go to the room with big skeletons and unlock that door. Though there is the key that you are looking for.

Hint: Tricky puzzle question:
The answer to:
"12 - 52 - ?
Although it is larger in size
It's equivalent is the same in the end"
…is 365. 12 months in a year, 52 weeks in a year, and 365 days in a year.

Hint: First tower:
In the first tower, you will reach a floor with spike traps. You can distinguish them from the regular floor tiles by the small square on them. You will need to find the room that when enter from the south, you will find a treasure chest with a spike trap in front it. When you find it, notice that it is the only one with enough space to get between the chest and the wall. Push on the wall to find a Heart Brooch and a Mushroom.

You will find a room with a plaque that tells "Do not attack the statue". Attack the statue at a safe distance and do it will move out of your way, giving you access to a treasure chest. If you look at the wall, you will notice what appears to be a set of pillars. Push on the wall in between the pillars to find a secret passage. Use it to find the Foundation Jade. This Jade increases your defense and is perfect match for the Power Jade found later in the game.
